fluent Finnish, enjoyed chess and
discussing politics.
Johanna made ties and her
husband sold them from his office
at the immigration department.

I have the camera my great grandfather used for taking the
family pictures. The back of the case is dated 1899. I also have
the glass negatives of the pictures.
I was in Maine in the late 70's and bought several glass lantern slides in an antique store.
This picture was taken in Amsterdam. From the style of clothes I would guess it was
taken in the 1860's.
This glass slide was dated 1857, and titled "View near Mt. Pleasant".
About the videos: If they start off playing choppy, play them once through to let your
system memory buffer the videos. Then play them again. They should play smoothly the
second time.
A short video of my mother taken on 12-29-2008. She's 83 and doing
very well. She does have short term memory loss and early signs of
dementia.
